All About Mobile Command
As a professional you know that your schedule requires you to stay on top of all projects underway, creating a need for total access from the field to your desk top office server. Mobile Command will do just that and more. This invention is a highly useful vehicle accessory, more specifically, a removable workstation system supported and stabilized for use by the OEM center console of a vehicle.
Personal vehicles no longer merely transport people between point A and point B. They have become mobile extensions of homes and offices, complete with comfortable seating, climate control, entertainment and technology. Many newer vehicles come with WIFI, standard electrical outlets and cellular phone charging ports, providing critical infrastructure for a virtual office. What vehicles currently lack is a functional workstation that is easy to install, secure, and remove while not requiring permanent modification of the vehicle, one that can be customized to specific vehicle applications, is attractive and easy to clean.
Mobile Command is a workstation system that sits securely atop the center console of a vehicle. The workstation system includes a platform sized and shaped to rest atop the OEM console with the rear section wedged firmly between the two front seats, with multiple retaining structures on the bottom surface of the workstation that mate securely to corresponding recessed regions of the OEM console. Workstation systems are configurable to fit most makes and models.
The desktop platform is constructed of solid PVC and retention bodies are connected to the OEM Console platform by an adhesive.
The user positions the workstation system on a vehicle’s center console by uniting retention bodies on the bottom surface of the platform with corresponding recessed regions and/or cupholders on the OEM center console and lowering the workstation into position. The user then can utilize the platform in the desired manner, for example as a writing or computing surface, for eating, and many other applications. When the workstation system is no longer needed, or when the vehicle will be in motion, the workstation can be easily removed and stowed away.
